This Privacy Policy describes how Mitzva (“we”, “us”) — a nonprofit organization (not yet incorporated) — handles information when you use the Mitzva app and related services at mitzva.app.
This text is written in plain English. It is not legal advice.
What information we collect
- Account — email and auth identifiers so you can sign in.
- Location — the city/coordinates you choose so we can calculate zmanim.
- Mitzvah activity — logs, streaks, preferences, and related data you enter.
- Notifications — device tokens needed to deliver reminders you enable.
- Analytics & crashes — when enabled, product events and crash reports tagged with an account id (not your email).
How we use information
To run the service, sync your data, schedule reminders you opt into, calculate zmanim, and improve the app. We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers for targeted ads.
Third-party services
We use Supabase (auth + database), and may use Bugsnag and PostHog (US) for crashes and product analytics. Push delivery goes through Apple and Google. Primary data storage: US East.
Your rights
You can export or delete your account from Profile → Account in the app where available. Privacy questions: Info@mitzva.app.
Children
Mitzva is not directed at children under 13. If you believe we collected a child’s information by mistake, email us and we will work to delete it.
