Terms of Service

Effective August 6, 2026 · Governed by New Jersey law

These Terms govern your use of the Mitzva mobile app and related services operated by Mitzva (a nonprofit organization, not yet incorporated) at mitzva.app.

By creating an account or using Mitzva, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

Mitzva helps you track mitzvot, view streaks and stats, and receive optional reminders. Zmanim and Hebrew-calendar features use published algorithms and the location you provide. They are tools for personal observance — not rabbinic rulings. For personal halacha, ask your rabbi.

Your account

Keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information where asked so reminders and zmanim work correctly.

Acceptable use

Use the app respectfully and lawfully. Do not disrupt the service, access others’ data, or misuse exports or APIs.

Disclaimers & liability

Mitzva is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages from your use of the app.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey, United States, except where consumer protections in your country cannot be waived.
