How it works

Give daily. Choose where it goes.

Set a daily amount — a dollar, chai, whatever you decide — and it comes out automatically. You pick the destination, and you can change it whenever you like.

The ledger

Money in, money out.

Updated as transactions clear. Receipts link to the processor's record or the receiving organization's acknowledgement.

No funds have moved yet. The app has not launched and no tzedaka has been collected or disbursed. The first transaction will appear here, and every one after it.

What each row will show: date, amount, direction (in or out), the donor's chosen destination, the receiving organization, the processor's transaction ID, and a link to the receipt. Personal donor details are never listed — amounts and destinations are, always.

The things most organizations bury. If any of this changes, it changes here first.

We are not a registered charity yet.
Donations to Mitzva.app are not tax-deductible at this time. Money routed to an affiliate organization may be deductible through that organization — their receipt governs, not ours. Do not claim a deduction on our say-so.
Payment processors take a cut before we see it.
Stripe's fee comes off the top of every transaction. We do not absorb it and we cannot waive it. The ledger shows the gross amount and the net that actually arrived.
Tzedaka and running costs are not the same pot.
Money you designate as tzedaka is not spent on servers, development, or marketing. Support for the app itself is a separate, clearly-labelled donation on the Donate page.
We are not a posek and we do not rule on your tzedaka obligations.
Whether a given gift counts toward maaser, and how to calculate it, is a question for your rabbi. The app tracks what you gave; it does not tell you it was enough.
Every transaction is published, including the ones that look bad.
Refunds, chargebacks, failed transfers, and mistakes go on the ledger the same as everything else. A ledger that only shows good news isn't a ledger.
